Kampusbet ~ " Louis van Gaal defends Manchester United press conference walk out: "I wasn't angry" "
Agen TangKasneT ~ Louis van Gaal has defended his infamous walk-out of the pre-Christmas press conference insisting it wasn't an angry strop.
The Manchester United
manager had been stung by media coverage following the defeat against
Norwich City that focused on the potential for sacked Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho to be given his job.
In the premeditated speech he demanded an apology from his so-called detractors and then launched into an attack on the press, report the Manchester Evening News.
“I
think I was already sacked, I read. I have been sacked. My colleague
(Jose Mourinho) was here already. What do you think happens with my wife
or with my kids? Or with my grandchildren?

think?” he said before wrapping up the conference after four minutes and
58 seconds and telling the assembled media to enjoy the wine and mince
pies courtesy of the club.
Van Gaal then got up and walked out.
But it was seen by many as a storm off and that Van Gaal was angry. However, the Red Devils manager says it was anything but.
I read things in the press. These are lies, not based on facts.
That's the reasons that I walk away in a press conference and not with a
stormy head or an angry head,” he says.
“No, I walk with a quietness because I want to make my point. But you (the press) write it in another context.”
