Liverpool plot £10.5m swoop for Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas

Judi Online -  Liverpool are planning a move for Real Madrid keeper Keylor Navas, report the Sunday People.

The Costa Rica star, 28, is on his way out of the Bernabeu this summer as the Spanish club pave the way for the arrival of Manchester United No 1 David De Gea.

And that has sparked interest from the Reds, who want to replace Simon Mignolet.

Navas joined Real last summer after a superb World Cup in Brazil, but he played just six games in La Liga with Carlo Ancelotti preferring Iker Casillas as his main keeper.

Bandar Bola -  Real and Spain legend Casillas has vowed to fight for his place – despite De Gea’s proposed arrival – and Navas has spoken publicly about studying other options for next season.

Navas’s Real deal runs until 2020 and it contains a release clause of £10.5million.

There is also interest in him from Italy, but the only offers which have surfaced so far are on loan.
Liverpool are also keen on a move for Stoke’s Bosnian keeper Asmir Begovic.

Paul Pogba transfer: Real Madrid deny reports they have made approach for Juventus midfielder

Judi Online -   Real Madrid have vehemently denied reports that they have made an approach for Paul Pogba.

The 22-year-old has been tipped to leave Juventus this summer, with a host of clubs - including Manchester City - said to be interested.

Italian newspaper La Stampa reported that Real were willing to offer Pogba a five-year contract, earning him a staggering €10million per season.

However, Real moved quickly to deny the claims, releasing a statement on their official website.

It read: "Following reports published in Italian newspaper La Stampa concerning an alleged offer from Real Madrid for the player Paul Pogba, the club wishes to state the following: Real Madrid have had no contact either with Juventus or the player's agent and, as a consequence, the reports published in this newspaper are completely false."

Bandar Bola -   Reports in Italy on Thursday suggested Barcelona sporting director Ariedo Braida was in Turin, with the intention of meeting Juve about agreeing a deal.

Barca are said to be proposing a move which would see Pogba return to Juve on loan, with the Serie A champions thought to be keen.

Pogba, who left Manchester United in 2012, has developed into one of the best midfielders in world football in Turin, helping the Bianconeri to three consecutive titles.

Juventus want £70million for the midfielder, which has put off PSG from offering him a return to his home city.

That leaves three clubs with a realistic chance of landing the 22-year-old, and Manchester City remain hopeful a deal can be done.

Premier League remain in search of £60million-a-season title sponsor for 2016-17 season

Judi Online  -   The Premier League could kick-off the 2016-17 campaign without a title sponsor for the first time since its inaugural year, writes Tom Hopkinson in the Sunday People.

That is because the top-flight clubs have still to find a backer willing to meet their £60million-a-season demands.

Barclays, whose three-year deal is worth £40m a season, will end their association with the competition in 12 months’ time.

Drinks firm Diageo offered £48m a year for Guinness to become the league’s title sponsor, but the clubs rejected it because it could harm existing deals.

On top of that, Diageo’s offer was £12m a year short of the value that the Premier League has placed on its main sponsor and the feeling among clubs is that they are in no rush to agree a new contract.

Bandar Bola  -  The cost of sponsoring the Premier League has increased because of the £5.1billion TV deal which kicks in next year.

Ironically, however, it is the huge amount clubs will pocket from that contract which means they are in no rush to strike a title sponsorship agreement.

The clubs will meet next month, when a decision will be made on the best way to go forward.

The league did not have a sponsor in the 1992-93 season, but since then Carling, Barclaycard and Barclays have paid millions for the privilege.

Liverpool decide Raheem Sterling talks POINTLESS after astonishing rant by his agent

Judi Online -  Raheem Sterling's relationship with Liverpool is at crisis point after another day of explosive drama surrounding his contract talks.

Anfield officials have scrapped a planned meeting to discuss a new deal, after the player’s agent reportedly delivered a wild rant at the club.

Aidy Ward, the representative, is said to have suggested his client would not sign a new deal even for wages of £900,000 a week in an interview where he is also alleged to have called Reds legend Jamie Carragher a kn*b, and said he did not care about Liverpool’s hard-earned image and reputation.

That prompted the Reds’ top brass to pull the plug on a meeting arranged for Friday, as relations between the two parties hit an all-time low.

The club have made clear to Ward, who has recently set up on his own as an agent, they felt there was no purpose in going through with the talks after his astonishing attack.

And Mirror Sport understands officials from Anfield have formally outlined to the player’s representatives his legal obligations - England international Sterling is contracted to the club for another 25 months.

There is a feeling among Liverpool’s top brass that the agent seems to be unaware of his client’s obligations as a contracted player, after apparently indicating to a newspaper Sterling wouldn’t play for the club, and would join Manchester City or Chelsea.

There has been no formal offer for Sterling yet from any club, and he most certainly hasn’t been given permission to speak to another club - which could even bring Ward’s apparent suggestion to the attention of the Football Association.

Sources suggest Ward’s narrow, aggressive agenda for the meeting has been so widely publicised in the last few days it was pointless pursuing a negotiation over the next 24 hours.

Bandar Bola -  The agent had indicated earlier in the week he wouldn’t even listen to any Liverpool offer, and seems to have made damning comments that immediately provoked outrage and anger on social media.

The Evening Standard quoted him as saying: “He is definitely not signing. He’s not signing for £700,000, £800,000, £900,000 a week. He is not signing. I don’t care about the club.

“If people say I am bad at my job or they are badly advised, it does not matter.

I am not worried. Worried is making a decision not knowing what is going to happen. Every Premier League club will make a bid for him.”

Liverpool had hoped to make an improved contract offer to Sterling on Friday, and make a strong case to him over staying at Anfield, as manager Brendan Rodgers wants to make him a central figure in future plans.

They have already signed exciting young stars Philippe Coutinho, Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge on long term contracts, and announced on Thursday that potential England stars Jordon Ibe and Jon Flanagan had also put pen to paper.

Winger Ibe – who many believe will prove to be even better than Sterling – has signed a five-year contract that will keep him at Anfield until 2020.

Flanagan has agreed a 12-month extension even though he is out with a long-term knee injury.

Despite this latest breakdown in relations, co-owners John W Henry and Tom Werner have made it absolutely clear that Sterling will not be sold this summer unless there is a massive offer that is too good to turn down.

Just as they did when Luis Suarez attempted to force a move to Arsenal in 2013, they will simply refuse to countenance any dialogue, and are prepared to deliver that message with crystal clarity to Ward.

Arsenal already HAVE a £40m midfield anchorman in Francis Coquelin insists Arsene Wenger

Judi Online -  Arsene Wenger reckons Francis Coquelin is playing like a £40million signing.

Defensive midfielder Coquelin has been a revelation since being recalled from a loan spell at Championship Charlton and thrown straight into the Arsenal side in December.

The Frenchman, 24, has brought some much-needed steel and balance to the Gunners engine room.

And Wenger believes the fact Coquelin cost the north Londoners nothing is a reminder to fans hungry for big-money signings that players’ price-tags are not always an indication of their ability.

He said: “The world has changed. The appreciation today of the quality of a player is just down to the money you spend.

“If we had bought Coquelin at Christmas for £40m, everyone would say ‘What a signing!’ I am sorry he didn’t cost any money, (but) he is still a good player.”

Bandar Bola - Before Coquelin’s emergence, landing a defensive midfielder was set to be a summer priority for Wenger - and it was certainly a position many Arsenal fans hoped to see strengthened.

Wenger added: “It hasn’t changed (my plans) a lot, but what is for sure he has shown he has the capacity to play for us and play a big part in the success of the team.

“Nobody would dispute that his performances have been convincing and that he is ready for a fight, even if somebody comes in.”

Coquelin has been key to Arsenal’s improved form in 2015, which has them in with a chance to pip Manchester City to second spot if they win their fnal two league games and in a second successive FA Cup Final.

Liverpool revive transfer interest in Manchester City's Stevan Jovetic as Brendan Rodgers plots strike-force shake-up

Judi Online - Brendan Rodgers wants to sign Manchester City misfit Stevan Jovetic.

Liverpool boss Rodgers is launching a cut-price £12million bid for Montenegro international forward Jovetic, who will be allowed to leave the Etihad this summer.

Rodgers is determined to shake up his strike-force this summer with £16m flop Mario Balotelli, a target for Sampdoria, and local-lad Rickie Lambert, who is being linked with promoted Bournemouth, both set to leave Anfield.

Jovetic joined City two years ago from Fiorentina for £22m but has failed to establish himself as a regular and this season was axed from their Champions League squad for the competition's knockout phase.

City want to clear-out their squad too, with fellow striker Edin Dzeko also likely to go - German club Wolfsburg are ready to make a move and he's also been linked with Chelsea as a replacement for 36-year-old club legend Didier Drogba.

Bandar Bola - Rodgers has already admitted his summer priority is a top-class striker and Liverpool have been keen on Jovetic in the past - as we told you in February.

The 25-year-old would represent a major signing as he could play alongside Daniel Sturridge when the England international is fit again, and also offer competition and back-up.

Liverpool are also expected to land Burnley striker Danny Ings once his contract expires this summer.
Series A champions and European Cup finalists Juventus are hoping to take Jovetic, who has also been linked with Inter Milan, back to Italy but Liverpool are already lining up the deal.

Real Madrid whipping-boy Gareth Bale reckons they are playing him in the WRONG position

Judi Online -  Gareth Bale wants to take centre stage at Real Madrid next season.

Welsh forward Bale is frustrated at being stuck out on the Spanish giants' right wing and believes he can have more success in his favoured position through the middle.

Bale, who became the world’s most expensive player when signed from Tottenham in 2013, was booed and jeered during the match, then abused by angry fans when he drove out of the car park following Real’s Champions League semi-final exit on Wednesday.

It came after he missed several chances against Juventus as European Cup holders Real missed out on a dream El Clasico final against arch-rivals Barcelona in Berlin next month.

Although he's a target for Manchester United, Mirror Sport understands the 25-year-old is determined not to give up on his Spanish adventure - although the decision would be out of his hands if the club's top brass make up their minds to sell him.

However, Bale has privately let it be known that his biggest frustration of all is being played out of position, and he insists that Real are not getting the best out of him.

Harry Redknapp was given stick by Tottenham fans for playing Bale on the right wing during his time at White Hart Lane.

And Bale now finds himself in the same position at the Bernabeu, with Cristiano Ronaldo on the left and Karim Benzema playing through the middle.

The Wales captain does not feel he is involved in games as much as he would like while playing wide and is desperate to get back to the sort of form which made him such a success in his first season in Madrid.

Bandar Bola -Bale scored 22 goals in 44 games in 2013-14, helping Real win the Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup and Copa del Rey. They added the UEFA Super Cup in August.

Now, less than 12 months on, his future is uncertain as he has been struck by injuries, a lack of form and appears to have been singled out by the Real fans as an easy target.

But while others – such as Ronaldo and James Rodriguez – went missing against Juve,
Bale kept showing, even though things were not going his way.

United are hovering and could move if Real offer Bale up in a player-plus-cash move for their Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea.

But Bale insists that he will not be broken by his recent setbacks – and that all this will make him a better player in the long run.

He said: “There have been some ups and downs, but I think I’ve played well. What doesn’t kill me makes me stronger and I’ll learn from this season and take it on.

“I’ve maybe not scored as many important chances as I’d have liked, but my general play has been good. My finishing is not as good and that’s something to work on for next year.

"We wanted to be in the Champions League Final, but it’s not to be and we go again next year.”

Chelsea star Eden Hazard named FWA Footballer of the Year with Tottenham's Harry Kane second

Judi Online -  Chelsea star Eden Hazard has been named the 2015 Football Writers' Association Footballer of the Year.

The 24-year-old has been in magnificent form for the Blues, scoring 19 goals in all competitions for Jose Mourinho's men as they've swept to a league and cup double.

The Belgian international topped the poll of 300-plus journalists, claiming 53 per cent of the vote, ahead of Tottenham striker Harry Kane and Chelsea teammate John Terry.

Hazard, also named PFA Footballer of the Year, follows Luis Suarez and Gareth Bale in winning the award and will be honoured at a gala dinner on May 21.

FWA chairman, Sunday Mirror writer Andy Dunn, declared: "The list of truly world class players on the Football Writers' Association roll of honour is a long one and Eden Hazard is a worthy addition.

"A creator, a goalscorer and the hardest of workers, Hazard has been a constant source of threat for the Barclays Premier League champions.

Bandar Bola - "But it is not just his trickery, his pace, his artistry and his marksmanship that make Hazard such an invaluable component of Jose Mourinho's Chelsea squad, it is his durability.

"Hazard has started all 36 Premier League matches and, considering the particularly close attention he receives from opponents, that is a feat in itself."

Apart from Hazard and Terry, the top 10 featured a further three Chelsea players: Cesc Fabregas, goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and defender Branislav Ivanovic.

Also listed were Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez, Manchester United stopper David de Gea, Premier League top scorer Sergio Aguero and Leicester midfielder Esteban Cambiasso.

Chelsea vs Liverpool: Steven Gerrard paid glowing tribute by Jose Mourinho before their final showdown

Kampusbet -  Steven Gerrard will help form a guard of honour for Chelsea’s newly-crowned champions at Stamford Bridge on Sunday – but Jose Mourinho has already handed the Liverpool skipper a glowing tribute of his own.

Kop idol Gerrard will always be the one that got away for Mourinho - who tried to sign the Scouse maestro twice during his first spell at Chelsea, then struck out again at Inter Milan and missed with one final try when he was Real Madrid boss.

Mourinho claims he failed because Gerrard has a ‘Red heart’ and could never play against Liverpool.

If that is any sort of dig at Frank Lampard, who left Chelsea for title rivals Manchester City last summer, then it is only a slight one – because Mourinho believes the ex-England teammates were the two best attacking midfielders in Europe at their peak.

And although successive Three Lions managers failed to solve the riddle of how best to use the duo in tandem, Mourinho believes they would have won trophies together at Chelsea – and should have done so for their nation, too.

Bandar Bola - As the Special One prepares to face Gerrard on Sunday for, presumably, the final time in his playing career before he - like Lampard - heads to Major League Soccer, he wondered whether his ‘dear enemy’ could one day oppose him again... as Liverpool manager.

Mourinho said: “Liverpool are a giant club and speaking about Liverpool honouring the champions, it is my time to honour this champion. It’s my time to honour Steve Gerrard and say, with opponents like him, that I am the manager I am.

"I learn through my players and my best opponents. Steven Gerrard is for sure one of my favourite enemies and for sure my dear enemy, the one who made me a better manager.

“To stop him, or try to stop him, has been very, very difficult. I lost against him, I won, I drew. I am very sad it’s the last time I play against him. I need people like him to make me a better coach.

Thomas Muller unhappy after being substituted as Jamie Redknapp says Pep Guardiola has taken Bayern backwards

Judi Online -  It was a bad night at the office for Pep Guardiola watching his team take a beating against Barcelona and appearing to have an argument with Thomas Muller, and Jamie Redknapp believes the Spaniard has taken Bayern Munich backwards.

The German champions were beaten 3-0 in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final tie at the Nou Camp on Wednesday and now face a second straight exit at the last-four stage.

Guardiola took over from Jupp Heynckes, who guided Bayern to the treble in his final season in charge as they won the 2013 Champions League, beating Dortmund at Wembley in the final.

The Spaniard is coming towards the end of his second season in charge of the German side and, despite winning the Bundesliga once again, he looks to have come up short in Europe.

Guardiola was also seen appearing to argue with Muller on the touchline after substituting the German international.

Speaking as a pundit on Sky Sports as part of their coverage from the Nou Camp, Redknapp said: 'Guardiola is at a club where you're under severe pressure if you lose any game. It's now full-on.

'When he took over from Jupp Heynckes, we all felt that it was the dream job taking over a club that has just won the treble. But he hasn't taken them to the next level. If anything it looks like they're going backwards.'

Redknapp added: 'The difficulty he has is players like Philipp Lahm and Bastian Schweinsteiger are maybe just getting a little bit older and Xabi Alonso is not getting any younger.

'When you take over from a team that has won the treble, it makes it very difficult indeed. He's got a lot of rebuilding to do it seems to me. There's certainly pressure, it is going to be difficult for him now.'

Bandar Bola - Guardiola's return to the club where he won three La Liga titles and two Champions Leagues as a manager as well as six La Ligas and the Champions League as a player didn't go according to plan.

His Bayern Munich side were swept aside by Lionel Messi, the man he described as unstoppable on the eve of the game, and are on their way out of the competition.

Guardiola's ambitious full-pitch pressing tactics left his team exposed a number of times in the first half and Bayern needed their goalkeeper Manuel Neuer to keep them in the game.

Muller, for his part, seemed to play down any chances of a comeback in a week's time at the Allianz Arena.

'We did not have major chances, but it is not easy to play here,' he told Sky. 'It certainly did not feel like we were going to lose 3-0.

'But then we put ourselves into that situation. Now we have to stand together and not look for scapegoats. But we must accept that our chance of reaching the final is miniscule now.

'It would be sensational if we turned this around. But you can be sure that we will give everything we have until the final whistle at the Allianz Arena.'

On Guardiola's tactics, Barcelona defender Javier Mascherano said: 'We know that Pep always in any pitch and any stadium will try to win and will try to play. They came to press higher, but sometimes when you go and press high you take risk, and we know that we have a lot of people up front with quality to make the difference.'
Guardiola's side must win big next week at the Allianz Arena to reach the final in Berlin on June 6.

Liverpool news and transfers: Kieran Trippier eyed as right-back solution

Judi Online -  Staying up could prove easier for Aston Villa than keeping hold of Christian Benteke.

The Villans moved closer to safety after their star striker underlined his status as the Premier League’s form striker by scoring twice in Saturday's 3-2 home win over Everton.

Belgium international Benteke has 11 goals in his last nine games, and only Sergio Aguero, Luis Suarez and Robin van Persie can better his 41 strikes in the league over the last three seasons.

Liverpool are monitoring the £30million-rated star and manager Tim Sherwood has already hinted strongly that Villa will sell if someone meets their asking price.

Villa midfielder Leandro Bacuna is big pals with Benteke and accepts they could struggle to hang on to him.

“I live about one minute from him and go around his place,” said Bacuna. “We talk about his future a little bit, but we don’t know what’s going to happen.

“It’s going to be hard to hang onto him.

Monday's Liverpool stories from other papers & websites

Spanish acquisition

Liverpool are apparently ready to seal a deal for Barcelona full-back Martin Montoya.

With Glen Johnson on his way this summer and Javi Manquillo only a loan addition, Brendan Rodgers is in the market for a new right-back.

And it appears Spaniard Montoya could be his man.

Bandar Bola - Fichajes suggest that the 24-year-old has already agreed personal terms with the Reds with a fee still to be negotiated.

Another right back perhaps in play this summer could be Burnley's Kieran Trippier.

With the Clarets now looking likely to slide back into the Championship the English full-back is widely tipped to leave the club at season's end.

And according to the Star Liverpool are in the mix for his signature.

Southampton, who may well lose their own right back Nathaniel Clyne to Manchester United, and Stoke are also keen.

Manchester United are ready to use Adnan Januzaj as bait to land top summer target Memphis
Depay in a blow to Liverpool's transfer plans, according to talkSPORT.

United have placed winger Depay at the top of their offseason wishlist with the Netherlands international also being chased by PSG.

But in a move to sweeten the deal they are apparently ready to offer starlet Januzaj to the Dutch champions for a year on loan in an attempt to win the race for his signature.

PSV Eindhoven sporting director Marcel Brands hinted his club would indeed be interested in such an agreement with Depay all but certain to depart.

“If such a player like Adnan Januzaj would like to come and play Champions League football, you have a chance of making a temporary move.”

Paul Pogba left Manchester United for Juventus because I came out of retirement, admits Paul Scholes

Judi Online - Paul Scholes has admitted his decision to come out of retirement in 2012 may have caused Paul Pogba to join Juventus - but he doesn't believe Manchester United should buy him back.

The midfielder had decided to hang up his boots in May 2011 but reversed his decision the following January with United in the grip of an injury crisis.
In the end, Scholes retired for good in May 2013, having surpassed 700 appearances for United and having added another Premier League winners' medal.
But the former England international concedes that his decision to return affected Pogba's chances of making the step up from the Under 21 team to Sir Alex Ferguson's senior squad.
Having made just seven first-team appearances for United, Pogba left in the summer of 2012 to seek greater opportunities at Juventus and has since matured into a world class midfielder valued at upwards of £60m.
Writing in The Independent, Scholes said: 'Given the choice, and on the right terms, United would rather have kept him than not.
'Would it have been any different if I had not come back for that last 18 months? I think my return to the team, and the game time Paul got, was a small part of it.
'From United's point of view, it is always difficult to tell just when a young footballer is going to mature into a first-class professional ready to play at the highest level, but the story of how Pogba slipped away from United has more than one strand to it.'
Bandar Bola - Scholes does add, however, that at the time he returned to the United team, Pogba wasn't showing the form that would soon transform him into a top class player.
He had been playing for the reserves and also in a handful of League Cup matches, but did not look like securing a regular first-team place despite the injury crisis.
Scholes, who won 11 Premier League titles and two European Cups while at Old Trafford, praised Pogba's dedication to improving his game and revealed the pair practised 50-yard passes after training.
'He was absolutely desperate to make it as a footballer, and he grabbed every chance he had to learn,' Scholes said.
'He was a very good footballer: technically excellent, and he knew how to strike a ball. He spoke to me about improving his range of passing.'With United manager Louis van Gaal set to be given another large transfer kitty this summer, there has been speculation that Pogba could be returning to Manchester.
But Scholes believes such a move would be against United's principles.
'As for United, I don't feel they should go back to sign Pogba for the sums being talked about having lost him for the compensation payment,' Scholes said.
'I understand that Chelsea did the same when they bought back Nemanja Matic from Benfica, but his fee was nothing like the numbers quoted for Pogba. It would feel wrong to me.'
