Agen Casin()  ~   Jurgen Klopp has hailed a "perfect" Liverpool performance as they smashed Manchester City on their own patch.

The German was visibly delighted with not only the result, but the manner of the performance, which saw the Reds go 3-0 up in just half an hour.

An Eliaquim Mangala own goal was followed by Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino strikes, capping a sensational start from Klopp's men.

Sergio Aguero pegged one back before the break, but a Martin Skrtel volley late in the second half secured the dominant win.

Klopp has hailed the passion shown by his side - and now thinks they can start believing that big things are going to happen.

"It feels perfect! The game was not perfect but it was very good," he told Sky Sports.

"The good news is that we can do better. At half-time I told the boys they were surprised to be winning 3-0, and we must do better in that situation.

"We have quality, we could have more goals but 4-1 is perfect. The boys can believe now that they are stronger than many people think."

Klopp is equally delighted that his side were able to take a dominant lead so early in the match. 

"They were brilliant goals. It's a big step," he said. "The crowd was a bit nervous when they couldn't build up their game as they wanted. It was good, really good. 

"We have to learn to be in a clear lead. With results like this the lads will start to believe."
