Kampusbet ~ Steven Gerrard to wear Liverpool shirt again - as part of Legends side in Australia
Agen TangKasneT ~ Steven Gerrard is set to pull on the Liverpool shirt again in January.
But instead of returning to Jurgen Klopp's side, he will be part of a Legends team that will play in Sydney, reports the Liverpool Echo.
The Reds have confirmed Gerrard, Jamie Carragher
and Ian Rush will be in the squad for the game against an Australian
Legends side, which will take place at the ANZ Stadium on January 7,
2016.
Dietmar Hamann and John Arne Riise have also been named, with Gerard Houllier serving as manager.
It
will be the first time Gerrard has pulled on a Liverpool shirt since
departing for Los Angeles Galaxy in the summer, albeit for the Legends
side.
Bandar Judi Online TangKasneT ~ Gerrard is currently back on Merseyside following the end of his first MLS campaign in LA.
The 35-year-old said: “It will be great to play with the official Liverpool FC Legends.
“The
squad looks like it’s a great set of lads, it’ll be good to get on the
pitch with them. Our fans are the best and to play in front of them
again will be emotional, I’m sure.”
The match also marks the high-profile debut of the Australian Legends
side, which will feature Brett Emerton, Tony Popovic and Mark Bosnich.
Tickets
for the game, which is being brought to fans by Destination New South
Wales, will be available on general sale on Friday November 27.
