KampusbeT ~ " Fabio Borini to thank as Sunderland move out of the drop zone - but Big Sam remains frustrated "
Agen MaxbeT ~ Fabio Borini lifted Sunderland out of the bottom three for only the second time this season.
The Italian struck in the 90th minute to prevent a potentially disastrous home defeat.
It could have been much worse for Sam Allardyce’s side.
Some
comfort will be gained from their climb out of the drop zone, but
Allardyce said in his programme notes that a draw “isn’t good enough.”
Sub Borini cancelled out a stunning second half late revival led by two goal Connor Wickham, stretching the visitors winless run in the league to 11 games.
Borini blasted in from a tight angle on the right - the “best goal of the season anywhere” according to a relieved Allardyce.
Wickham’s
goals kept Sunderland in the Premier League a couple of seasons ago.
But he returned to haunt his former side and dent their bid to avoid
relegation this time round.
The former £8million striker popped up with two second goals that should have earned all three points.
Sunderland took the lead after 36 minutes when Dame N’Doye’s long range shot took a big deflection off Scott Dann.
Wickham
grabbed an unlikely leveller after 61 minutes. It meant Sunderland have
not kept a clean sheet since late November, and 14 games.
He swivelled well in the box and crisp shot that took a nick off DeAndre Yedlin and pinged home off the post.
Bandar Judi Online MaxbeT ~ There had been good work from Wilfried Zaha breaking down the left and Yannick Bolasie with the final ball.
The burly front man then added a second within six minutes.
Wickham
netted five in three games to keep Sunderland up during a miracle
escape in April 2014, but his goals here could help relegate his former
club.
He volleyed home after Mile Jedinak nodded down a cross looped to the back post.
Allardyce
said: “Relief, frustration, panic. Heart rate monitor about 140 today.
It is the trials and tribulations of being down at the bottom.
“Swings and roundabouts we’ll get until the end of the season.
“My disappointment is being in front and in control of the game and our inability to master it.
“Conceding twice really annoyed me. I say lose a goal, stay in
control. Don’t let them score another. Our loss of control is the
problem we have had a while. It frustrates me.
“Let’s hope we are out of the bottom three a while. We have to go to Southampton and get a result.”
Pardew said: “Overall it was a game we deserved to win. On reflection a draw isn’t a bad result.”
Allardyce retorted: “Alan would say that wouldn’t he. You know what he is like, you’ve had him up here long enough.”
