KampusbeT ~ " Harry Redknapp in talks over Derby "advisory role" as Rams bid to save faltering promotion bid "
Agen MaxbeT ~ Harry Redknapp could be on the Derby County bench for Saturday’s crunch clash with fierce rivals Nottingham Forest.
The former Spurs and QPR boss is ready to answer an SOS plea from the Rams to save their faltering Championship promotion bid after holding talks on Monday.
The fifth-placed Rams have lost three and drawn one of Darren Wassall's seven games since Paul Clement was sacked last month.
County
threw away a 3-0 lead at Rotherham in the Championship on Saturday to
draw after conceding three goals in the last seven minutes.
Derby's wealthy owner Mel Morris held talks with former Spurs and QPR boss Redknapp on Monday over assisting Wassall.
It would be on a short-term eight-week “advisory role” until the end of the season.
Wassall, 47, was heavily criticised for his substitutions at
Rotherham, where he subbed key duo George Thorne and Chris Martin with
15 minutes left.
Bandar Judi Online MaxbeT ~ After the final whistle, Derby defender Jason
Shackell was involved in a heated exchange with Wassall after storming
off down the tunnel without applauding the away fans.
It is
believed former Rams academy coach Wassall is keen for a new more senior
colleague to advise him on all matters, including team selection.
Wassall
replaced Clement with County just five points off top spot in the table
but they are now 13 points adrift of leaders Burnley.
The erratic side are in danger of missing out of the play-offs for a second successive season.
Redknapp, 69, has now asked for 24 hours to consider the proposal.
He
has been out of work since resigning as manager of struggling QPR last
season in February claiming he needed a knee operation.
He had previously managed QPR to a 1-0 victory in the 2014 Championship play-off final against Derby at Wembley.
